Commissions

Thank you for your consideration in hiring me for a custom painting!
I work in acrylic and mixed media. My acrylic works often include a finish of oil to bring out the luminescence of a piece, and my style in this medium is colorful and whimsical. When I work in mixed media, I often work with wood and epoxy, layering meaning and symbolism into a piece for added depth and significance for my client. Please explore my body of work to determine which style speaks to you the most.
I can’t wait to work with you!
Please do not hesitate to begin the conversation with me about what you have in mind for your custom artwork. This is the most important step, as brainstorming and getting to know you better allows me to create a piece with even more meaning for you. There is no binding obligation for reaching out. Let’s see if it’s a good fit!
The Process
Please review the following information on the process of your custom artwork.
We decide the subject and size of the artwork, as well as the medium, style and materials to be included.
A 50% deposit is paid. This deposit is non-refundable. Once the deposit is paid, I begin the work!
Please be mindful that the turnaround time can vary depending on my schedule and other commissions in the works. For acrylic and oil paintings, I can usually complete a piece within 2-3 weeks, with potentially more time allowed for the oil layer to dry before varnishing, if applicable. For mixed media with woodworking and epoxy, it can take up to a month or longer depending on the complexity of the project.
When the artwork is completed, I provide pictures of the piece to be approved by my client.
Once the artwork is approved, the last 50% deposit can be paid up until the time of shipment. I cannot ship the piece before that.
Any costs incurred from customs and taxes to import the artwork into the client’s country is the sole responsibility of the client, along with the cost of shipping.
Rest assured I supply solutions and full support to the client in the rare case that a piece of art is lost or damaged in the shipping process. The satisfaction of my clients is of the utmost importance.
